Flight Alerter is the auxiliary software component created by DroneUp to accomplish aircraft deconfliction capabilities in conjunction with see and avoid deconfliction. Flight Alerter augments the RPIC’s ability to see and avoid crewed aircraft in the operational area. When deployed in the operational area, the platform receives position data from crewed aircraft. The platform automatically calculates if a crewed aircraft is a threat to the DroneUp aircraft. If the crewed aircraft is deemed a threat, Flight Alerter provides audible and visual warnings to the RPIC in order for action to be taken to deconflict and maintain safe separation between the UAS and crewed aircraft.
