Parachute Deployment
WARNING: A Parachute Deployment may result in Hull loss to unmanned aircraft, or significant damage to persons, properties or critical infrastructure (MAJOR)

INDICATIONS

  1. AMC Warning Message : “[px4] Parachute deployed!”

FAILSAFE BEHAVIOR

In the event of a total power failure or battery failure of the aircraft, the flight termination system would activate via parameters set to identify the situation. The triggering conditions are a result of excessive bank angles (pitch and/or roll), and excessive sink rate. The flight termination system contains capacitors which can power the parachute even without external power. In the event of complete loss of propulsion, the flight termination system will activate.
