Loss of RPIC Control Station Power
WARNING: Loss of RPIC Control Station Power may result in loss of RPIC awareness into aircraft behavior that could result in any of the following: minor injuries, minor damage to manned aircraft, substantial damage to unmanned aircraft weighing at least 55 pounds (MINOR)

INDICATIONS

  1. Physical Loss of RPIC Control Station
  2. RPIC Control Station is unresponsive

FAILSAFE BEHAVIOR

If RPIC Control Station Connectivity is lost during the inbound mission phase, the aircraft continues with the planned mission (returning to home location and precision landing).

If RPIC Control Station Connectivity is lost during the outbound mission phase, the aircraft holds above the delivery location until the low energy storage device failsafe is enabled.

PROCEDURE

EMERGENCY LOSS OF RPIC CONTROL STATION POWER ANNOUNCE

Record last known location — NOTE B.A.T.H.S

Re-establish RPIC Control Station connectivity to aircraft — ATTEMPT

If connection is reestablished in 45 seconds or less:

Mission — CONTINUE

Procedure Complete

If connection cannot be reestablished in less than 45 seconds:

Active LTE on tablet VERIFY

Mission Console — OPEN ON RPIC TABLET

Uncrew: Return to Home SELECT
