Aircraft Does Not Disarm Upon Landing
WARNING: Failure of disarm after enabling safety switch can lead to an commanded takeoff without crew going through the preflight procedure. This is a condition, which if procedures are not strictly observed, could result in damage to or destruction of equipment, loss of mission effectiveness, or health hazards to personnel. Specifically, this could lead to minor injuries if the ground crew is too close to spinning propellers.

INDICATIONS

  1. Aircraft has landed and propellers continue to spin.
  2. Message “DISARM” does not show up on either GCS.
  3. Safety Switch does not automatically turn on.

FAILSAFE BEHAVIOR

There is no Failsafe for this emergency.

PROCEDURE

FAILURE TO DISARM ANNOUNCE

AMC: Emergency Shutdown ENGAGE

CAUTION: Ensure the area around the aircraft is clear of persons or obstructions within a 16ft diameter (minimum) prior to engaging emergency shutdown. Failure to strictly observe this condition could result in damage to or destruction of equipment, loss of mission effectiveness, or health hazards to personnel.
